Your SoftwareStore uses 'cookies'. What are they?
There is a lot of nonsense talked about 'cookies' on the Internet, so here are the facts.
A cookie in Internet speak is a 'message' given to your web browser by a web server such as RegNow!. Your browser stores the message in a text file called a cookie.
The main purpose of cookies is to identify users and possibly prepare customized web pages for them. When you enter a web site that uses cookies such as Netsales, you are asked to fill
out a form providing some information. This information is packaged into a cookie and sent to your browser which stores it for later use. The next time you go to the same web site, the web site will ask your browser
for its particular cookie information and act accordingly. Amongst other things, Netsales uses cookies for its 'shopping cart'. When you travel from one product to another and click on buttons to drop `items' in
your `shopping cart', the data is stored by your browser using cookies.
If you're still concerned about cookies, check out the Unofficial Cookie FAQ at Cookie Central, or RegNow's privacy policy.
