Can I get a virus from a cookie?
No. Both Microsoft and Netscape, publishers of the two most popular internet browsers, say that it is impossible to get a virus from a cookie.
Having said that, new viruses are being developed every day, so you should always have up-to-date virus protection if you use the internet or receive emails. We recommend Norton AntiVirus, produced by Symantec, but there are plenty of other good products out there, too.
