What is the yellow padlock icon in the bottom of my browser window?
All transactions on the Professional Investigator
site are handled over a secure server connection. In most browsers, such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer, a "secure lock" icon (yellow padlock) will show up in the bottom right of the window. When you see this, you know that any information you send across the internet is encrypted in such a way that it would take all of the computers in the world working together, longer than the age of the universe to break the encryption! We think that's fairly safe!
At any time, you can double-click the padlock icon to see details of the security certificate.
